Calder Engineering was established in 1988 and has evolved into a highly respected company within its field. We are based in Thurso, north of Scotland, and it is from here that our high skilled team service the all energy markets within the UK and worldwide.

Our experience of working within the nuclear licensed site at Dounreay spans over many years, having project managed varying and challenging contracts as a both main contractor and subcontractor.
We supply our highly trained personnel to our clients within the oil and gas industry to work worldwide on various types of engineering projects. This service runs hand in hand with our comprehensive back up service providing quick response and turnaround times for fabrication and maintenance.
For over 30 years we have been based alongside the Pentland Firth. Although this stretch of water can sometimes appear serene and tranquil to the untrained eye, this is not the case and we know of the challenges that this extreme environment holds for our clients. Our customer’s depend on our experience and engineering knowledge to work with them from design concept to installation.
