A New Subsea “Monster”

Calder Engineering have recently launched their XL/SUB01 subsea basket to the offshore hire market.  The monster XL/SUB01 has a large payload of 15 tonnes, and at 6.9m long x 4m wide allows for ease of deployment and recovery of large equipment subsea.

Marena Calder, Business Development Manager said “We’ve been providing engineering services to the offshore industry for over 30 years, so we’re familiar with the challenges that come with it.  It was a natural progression in 2010 to design and build our own range of DNVGL certified offshore containers and more recently we saw a gap in the market for these niche subsea baskets.  We’ve put much effort and thought in to the design to create extra large and powerful baskets that have a large payload to cope with the majority of deployment, recovery and decommissioning projects. We’ve received very positive feedback about them and plan to extend the hire fleet.”

Their baskets are designed and certified to DNVGL 2.7-3 offshore standard and are available for hire on long or short-term contracts.  Further details can be found on Calder Engineering’s web site or by emailing admin@calderengineeirng.co.uk
